The episode Dogbot from Clifford the Big Red Dog was nominated for a GLAAD Media Award. The episode features Samantha’s family. She has two moms. The story did not center around the fact that Sam had two moms. It just happens that this family among the many different families on Birdwell Island had this unique detail. It seems like such an easy thing to incorporate in to the world of Clifford. Unfortunately, there has been some backlash about this inclusion.
